The Air Elemental is an enemy encountered at the end of Legends of Aranna.

Description[]

These spirits were bound to a material existence by the elemental magic of the Great Clock. An great Air Elemental and many minions were compelled by the Shadowjumper to attack the Hero of Arhok, simply to buy time.

This creature is a massed congelation of air and vapors shaped into a head, torso, and huge, powerful arms. Despite their size, its body and arms are able to move with very high speed and accuracy. The master Elemental is able to channel magical currents through its arms to project a very long-ranged cone of freezing air. The minions must rely on closing the distance to their prey and swinging.

Combat[]

The three Air Elementals (one primal and several minions) can deal heavy damage, and it is very hard to kite against them due to their speed and the master's long range. Unless you are satisfied with drinking your way through the fight, it is worthwhile to try to isolate the party member(s) being attacked and get the others into supportive positions at a distance.

Treasure[]

The elementals themselves yield no treasure, but they guard a chest called the "Elemental Air Container" which has the following four items:

  • Spellbook with one magic affix
  • Spellbook with one magic affix
  • "Medusa" spellbook (int.13) of Compassion
  • "Face" spellbook (int.16) of Convoking

The compassion and convoking suffixes are of a far greater magnitude than what those books can normally carry.
