The city of Bisselberg[]
One of the oldest cities in the region, Bisselberg was formerly the seat of the powerful Azunite Church. With its towering walls and ancient cathedrals, the city stood as a symbol of religious authority and zeal. In the events of Dungeon Siege III, Bisselberg is referenced as a major Azunite stronghold, particularly loyal to Jeyne Kassynder.
During her rebellion, Jeyne used the city to draft Azunite fanatics into her growing army, preparing them for the campaign against the Tenth Legion. Though not directly explorable in the game, Bisselberg plays a significant narrative role, especially in the political and religious backstory of the Azunite faction.
Sieges[]
In 1294, the city of Bisselberg came under siege by Lord Devonsey, leader of the Royalist Forces. The siege was long and brutal. Taking Bisselberg dealt a major blow to the Azunite Church and weakened Jeyne’s recruitment operations. This event is often cited by Legion loyalists as a turning point in halting Azunite expansion in the region.
Later 1294 Events[]

A high-ranking Azunite figure expresses disappointment in Jeyne
In a cutscene revealed under certain conditions, a high-ranking female Azunite figure—possibly a bishop or high priestess—is shown to be plotting against Jeyne Kassynder. Disillusioned by Jeyne’s later decision to aid the Tenth Legion, she views this as a betrayal of Azunite ideals and secretly conspires to undermine her authority. This moment subtly suggests future conflict within the Azunite hierarchy and foreshadows possible events beyond the main campaign.
