The Black Wolf is a type of wolf in Dungeon Siege.

Description[]
Black Wolves inhabit the deep-forest areas of Ehb and the Utraean Peninsula. These are the top dogs. They are a larger and more dangerous strain than their cousins in other climes.
The mottled-black coat on this creature suggests that they were nocturnal hunters. During the action in Ehb and the Peninsula, however, woodsmen were alarmed by a shift in the wolves' behavior, where they started roaming about in large packs even during daylight and became very bold towards humans.
The Dark Wolf, the strongest individual wolf anywhere, is a miniboss black wolf.
Combat[]
Black wolves can appear from bushes without warning. They close in quickly and must obviously use melee attacks (their jaws) in an attempt to take a nice chomp out of the player. While a pack of black wolves should not be scoffed-at, they are not the most dangerous creatures encountered in the deep forest settings.
