Chakti is a character and one of possible bosses in Dungeon Siege III. She's an Archon and one of Jeyne's lower-ranking handmaids.

History[]

Led by First Sister, Chakti, alongside her sisters, came to Aranna in desperate search of her old creator gods. When the seed of First Creation was located at Mournweald, all archons decided to settle down at the kingdom of Ehb. Later, when Jeyne Kassynder became the First Sister, Chakti with her sisters became her handmaids and servants.

Dungeon Siege III[]

Chakti (Chancel of Azunai)

Chakti at the Chancel of Azunai.

The only way to meet Chakti in-game is to follow the "good" path (spare Rajani after the battle for Raven's Rill, and then agree to spare the Archon handmaids while talking to Rajani and Saraya at Spire Bailey). If all requirments are met, then at Chancel of Azunai you'll face Chakti as your third opponent (after two cyclops). Upon her defeat she drops "Absolution" (unique staff for Anjali).

Later life[]

  • If you're aiming towards the "bad" ending (if you either killed Rajani, or chose "That won't do" dialogue option while talking to her at Spire Bailey), then all of Archon handmaids, Chakti included, will be killed.
  • However, if you negociated with Rajani and Saraya, then atop of the Spire, after battle with Jeyne, Rajani will mention all Archons are alive and well (wich means that for Chakti as well—her encounter with the player left her not dead, as her character animation upon defeat might suggest, but merely knocked out).
  • Then, if both Rajani and the handmaids lived, after defeating the corrupted creator you will speak with Jeyne and be granted two options: you can either banish Jeyne and her handmaids (Chakti included) from Aranna, or all Archons will settle at Stonebridge and declare Anjali their new spiritual leader.

Notes[]

  • The name Chakti comes from chakati, which in Bengali (চাকতি), Hindi and Marathi (चकती) means "circle, patch, small wheel".
  • If you choose to kill Rajani after the battle for Raven's Rill, then at Spire Bailey an unnamed silent handmaid will be standing near Saraya. It may be Chakti—or not, considering that all Archon handmaids look exactly the same.
