Corrupted Creator is the final boss in Dungeon Siege III.
Description[]
In the past, this being was one of the Creator Gods, responsible for the creation of Aranna. However, it had long perished before being resurrected by Jeyne Kassynder, who sought to use the power of this ancient god to destroy the surviving descendants of the Legion.
Corrupted by Jeyne's rage and malice, the Creator transformed into a terrifying, darkness-infused being whose creative powers twisted into destructive force.
The Legion's descendants were forced to confront this dark god, ultimately defeating it and granting it eternal rest.
Features[]
- The battle consists of two phases. In the first phase, the Creator:
- Claws the ground with massive talons, dealing significant damage.
- Summons dark Archons.
- Casts energy orbs from its maw and back, capable of instantly killing under-defended characters.
- In the second phase, after losing its right limb:
- Vomits massive amounts of black poison.
- Summons archons, daevas, dakkenweyrs, and vodyanoi.
- Casts deadly beams from its exposed fish-like eyes.
- There is no way to retreat from the battle.
Tactics[]
- During the first phase:
- Attack the Creator’s right arm. Ranged attacks are most effective, as melee attacks expose the player to high damage.
- At some point, the gauntlet on its arm will shatter, allowing the Creator to release a deadly beam from it.
- During the second phase:
- The monster will periodically collapse unconscious. This is the best moment to attack its head.
- Once it rises, it performs another poison spit attack. After this, large black puddles with writhing tentacles will appear randomly on the battlefield. These should be avoided as they not only deal damage but also slow movement and attack speed.
- Eventually, the helmet on the Creator's head will shatter, revealing fish-like eyes capable of emitting energy beams. These beams deal damage and drain focus. Players can hide behind boulders to avoid the beams.
- Poison spits can also be avoided by taking cover behind boulders. Just before spitting, the Creator will consume all its summoned minions – this brief moment can be used to find safety.
Notes[]
- Occasionally, the Creator’s model may glitch, causing it to freeze in a crouched position and rendering some of its attacks unusable.
