Overview[]
This cave complex lies beneath the peninsula's high Mesa Desert. It lies along the route from Quillrabe to Hiroth in the peninsula's storyline journey, The Eight Stones of Utrae, and it contains one of its essential quest-related items, the Quillrabe Townstone.
The Drake Nest is a dark and foul place, but the cave floor has patches of stone paving which suggest that, far from being a permanent nest, the complex is in fact an ancient roadway between the towns. But to the certain frustration of tourists, a huge Dragon has made its lair here and kills anything attempting to pass through. With skeletons of several other full-sized dragons scattered through the cave passages, this has been a recurrent issue.
Inhabitants[]
Some desert creatures from Quillrabe Canyons are encountered close to the entryway from that region. In addition to eggs laid by the Queen, there are also lesser Green Drakes nesting deeper in the caves.
By far the most numerous type of foe encountered here are the skeletons of soldiers killed by the dragon. These have been reanimated by the growing malign influence on the Peninsula from Hiroth's Utraean Circle. The articles for the types of foes in this area are linked below.
