The Dungeon Siege Siege Editor (Formally addressed as "Siege Editor", or "SE") is a powerful tool for creating maps and mods in the Dungeon Siege Engine. It was released shortly after the release of Dungeon Siege for free. It was designed to be as user-friendly as possible while retaining all of the core features and abilities that was used to create the original Dungeon Siege campaign and multiplayer campaign.

New mods created are called Siegelets and can be used to create either entirely new maps or modify the existing maps that came with the game.
It was later updated to support Legends of Aranna content.
Key features[]
- Create and import your own models with Discreet's Gmax software.
- Script battles and ambushes
- Create elaborate ingame cinematics and movies.
- Build worlds with over two hundred different monsters and over one hundred different NPC's
- Connect terrain using almost four thousand different terrain pieces.
- Create beautiful forests, dark dungeons or bustling towns with over a thousand different objects.
- Create lights with a grand mixture of directional, ambient, point and spot lighting sources.
Siege University[]
Siege University was the companion tutorial codex released alongside Siege Editor to help new and amateur editors create their own siegelets. It was originally available for download from Microsoft.com but has since been deleted. It can still be found on other websites such as Nexusmods.com
Siege Editor Two[]
Siege Editor Two (Dubbed SE2) was released shortly after Dungeon Siege 2 to aid in modding the platform. It included various upgrades to it's features and modding support, however due to how Gas Powered Games modified the conversation system, this feature was dropped. SE2 was only compatible with Dungeon Siege 2 and not the expansion, Broken World. Due to a lack of popularity with Broken World, Siege Editor 2.1 was never released and Broken World remains unmoddable without some extensive work on the part of an experienced modder.
