The Fen of the Frozen is a swamp region in the Legends of Aranna campaign.

Description[]
This swamp is entered from Therg's digsite tunnels. It contains a small bog system, the Trader Camp, and a sprawling, waterlogged mountain, the Mountain of the Dead, which leads to the Lair of Cicatrix. The back exit from that dungeon returns to the Fen, to an isolated position that stretches north around the base of the mountain and links to Jherkal's Crown.

- A Giant Task
- You have located the kinsmen of Najj the half-giant.
- This quest, obtained much earlier by recruiting Najj, ends upon seeing him to the Trader Camp. He remains with the party.
- The Dark Acolytes
- Destroy the Dark Acolytes.
- The half-giant traders are plagued day-and-night by Cicatrix's priests out in the swamp, which are Wraith-type foes. This is a short and profitable detour before approaching Cicatrix's mountain.
- The Scourge of Cicatrix
- Destroy Cicatrix the Undead Centaur.
- The larger objective in this region.

- Blacksmith Acha's weapons - In the higher worlds, this merchant's blue weapon inventory is extraordinary.

- Ornate Cherry Chest - hidden behind one of the wooden shacks in the swamp.
- Sarcophagus - the onsite reward for slaying all the Dark Acolytes, a trove of rare equipment and spells.
- Illicor's Beaded Hauberk - at the northern regional exit to Jherkal's Crown. Replaced with an uber chest in multiplayer.
- Backdoor Displacer pad to Cicatrix - The displacer beside the Trader Camp requires forward calibration. However, this calibration is permanently saved in the character file. Therefore, players can start mp sessions at the trader camp and take the displacer directly to Cicatrix, for battle and profit.

Details[]
Fen of the Frozen is a shallow swamp that surrounded by dense forest. There are wooden bridges that connects the lands together and old rotting shacks that riddled the land. Swamp gases briefly appears every now and then. Several trees are dead from lack of nutrients due to darkness. Most of the swamp is overrun with creatures from Cicatrix' domain.
Near the swamp is a small Trader Camp, inhabited by the remaining Half-Giants and two human women. The displacer near the Trader Camp which leads into Cicatrix's Lair underneath the Mountain of the Dead.
