Fighter is a class of character in the game Dungeon Siege II.
Description[]
As in many other RPGs, this class represents a typical fighter who engages exclusively in melee combat. Fighters are the class with the highest health, able to withstand physical damage excellently, thriving in the heat of battle. They can provoke, demoralize, and stun enemies.
Specialization[]
Melee characters are essential for your journey through Aranna. While they may not deal as much damage as combat mages, they can still dish out considerable damage with their weapons and soak up punishment with their high armor and health. There are three primary kinds of melee characters: shield-users, dual-wielders, and two-handed weapon users.
Shield-users rely on skills like Barricade, Reinforced Armor, and Rebuke to increase their armor and block melee and ranged attacks. Their primary power is Provoke, which boosts their armor and forces nearby enemies to concentrate their attacks on the shield-user, allowing your healer to focus on a single target. Although not particularly useful on the default difficulty level, using a shield is critical on higher difficulty levels.
Dual-wielders use two weapons at the same time allows dual-wielders to deal a significant amount of damage in a short amount of time, they can attack with blazing speed, especially after pumping their Alacrity skill, which increases the speed of their attacks, also their primary power is Waves of Force, which deals damage to all enemies caught within the waves.
Two-handed weapons users are bigger, slower, and capable of dealing more damage than a single one-handed weapon. Melee characters that use two-handed weapons will want to pump up Overbear and Smite. Their primary power is Staggering Blow, which deals a large amount of damage to all nearby foes and stuns them.
Although dual-wielders deal more damage than any other archetype, two-handed weapons are still useful, especially when you have two melee characters in your party. Each blow from a two-handed weapon is more powerful than that from a one-handed weapon, making them well-equipped for the Brutal Attack power.
- Shield — allows the use of a shield to block attacks.
- Two-handed weapon — enables the use of large two-handed weapons.
- Dual-wielding — allows wielding a one-handed weapon in each hand.
Skills[]

Fortitude — increases maximum health.

Ancient Half-Giant warriors developed grueling training regimens to toughen their bodies, allowing them to withstand an unnatural amount of punishment.
Critical Strike — gives a chance to deal double damage on an attack.

Barricade — enables the use of shields, increases their armor, and the chance to block melee and ranged attacks.

The training of Snowbrook Haven elite knights teaches them to wield their shields with unparalleled strength and tenacity. Phalanxes of knights can turn away nearly any attack.
Overbear — enables the use of two-handed weapons and increases their damage.

Warriors who have mastered this skill can channel all their rage and anger into their attacks, adding huge power to every devastating two-handed blow.
Dual Wield — enables the use of two one-handed weapons at once and increases their attack speed.

Toughness — increases resistance to physical damage

Tales tell of a Half-Giant wanderer who could survive in any climate and shrug off many attacks entirely. He taught his secrets to those he met on his journeys, and they live on long after he has disappeared.
Alacrity — increases melee attack speed.

Reinforced Armor — increases armor rating.

The soldiers of Windstone Fortress learned to modify their armor to enhance its effectiveness and often emerged unscathed from even the most catastrophic battles.
Smite — gives a chance to stun the enemy for a short time when attacking with a two-handed weapon.

In the days after the cataclysm, a roaming band of barbarians used focused attacks from two-handed weapons to stun prey. Would-be thieves discovered they were equally effective on human opponents.
Fierce Renewal — increases the speed of recuperation in melee combat.

Rebuke — An enemy is damaged and stunned for a short time when a character blocks a melee attack. Damage is equal to: n*melee level.

The final stage in the training of Snowbrook Haven elite soldiers is learning to use their shield as a weapon, striking back at those whose attacks they block and knocking them senseless.
Deadly Strike — Increases critical strike damage.
