The Flooded Sanctuary is an underground complex on the Utraean Peninsula, the multiplayer world in Dungeon Siege.
Description[]
This circular, single-exit dungeon, the so-called "Sanctuary" of Redwood Gap, was inundated with water and became a breeding ground for a very dangerous strain of Lungers and other aquatic monsters. Those marked with fire are tasked by the Sanctuary Keeper with clearing it out.
The Flooded Sanctuary (Quest) merely requires a player to reach various action points in the bowels of the dungeon. The quest does not require that even a single monster be slain; however, since the place is too dangerous to simply dash through, one may as well take advantage of the ample combat experience that can be earned here. The decidedly lackluster quest reward is the unique Elder Wood Amulet (+3 Mana per hit).
The hidden material rewards for vanquishing the Sanctuary are two Elite Mode chests that exist in the Normal version of the area. Each one has several hundred thousand gold, one to two magic items with a staggeringly wide power range, and a generous 20 percent chance of a yellow weapon, armor, or jewelry, which can potentially be worth millions. The existence of these chests alone make an assault on the Flooded Sanctuary well-worth the risk.

Notes[]
- There is a button-activated wall that lowers itself when a single-use button on one side is pushed, connected to the trapezoidal passageway in the southern portion of the dungeon. When playing with more than one client, beware of pressing the button on the opposite side and locking a teammate inside the wall, as the buttons cannot be re-activated when pressed once.
