Flooded Sanctuary is a side quest on the Utraean Peninsula, the multiplayer world in Dungeon Siege.
Description[]
The Sanctuary Keeper of Redwood Gap wants someone Marked with Fire to storm the Flooded Sanctuary and clear out all the monsters that have taken residence there ever since it became flooded. The foes are primarily Pickers and Lungers, including a miniboss Bile Lunger. The quest does not count any slain monsters to verify completion. It merely checks to see if the player(s) walked through an action point in the far west end of the sanctuary, near a set of double doors.
In spite of this lazy scripting, you should slay the monsters if you want any tangible benefits from this detour. The official quest reward is an amulet with +3 Mana steal that isn't likely to be useful at this stage. In addition to lots of experience, when playing in Normal mode, for some reason there are two Elite mode chests in the dungeon. These containers are balanced for level 90 characters and yield extremely variable rewards. There exist no other such opportune chests in the Normal version of the Peninsula.

Dialogue[]
- "Haven't you heard? The Sanctuary has been inundated with water! I overwintered in Lang and returned to find everything in disarray! Everyone's calling it the Flooded Sanctuary now. And if that wasn't enough, an entire brood of nasty creatures has taken up residence inside. What's needed is a strong, brave adventurer to put things right. Someone like you, perhaps? It's just west there, down the stairs, if you care to take a peek."
- "Oh, thank you so much for making the Sanctuary, well, safe again! I was dreading having to beg the good citizens of Lang for help. You never know what sort of payment they would ask for in return... I don't have much, but please take this family heirloom as my thanks. If you're interested in more adventures, there's a nasty Fury Den to the south of here. You'll have to travel through it to reach Quillrabe, anyways."
