Giant Trilisk is an Act I boss in Dungeon Siege II.

This huge three-headed snake with a long, spiked tail was born by infusing a large amount of Crystal Spirits into the body of an ordinary snake near Xeria's temple.

Description[]

The giant trilisk is an amazing confirmation of the tremendous power of the crystal spirits. A horde of formidable spirits has turned an ordinary animal into a monster endowed with incredible strength. Each of the three heads of the giant tree-like trilisk attacks in a different way. His poisonous breath causes enemies to take cover or flee, and his self-healing ability makes him nearly invincible.

The giant trilisk will forever remain a creature of legend. There has never been anyone like him and never will be again. Witnesses of the great battle with Trilisk also do not exist. Is this true, or just stories of heroes who exaggerated the strength of the enemy? Who knows...

Location[]

Located in the courtyard of the Temple of Xeria, guarding the portal leading to Aman'lu.

Tactics[]

Trilisk does not move during combat. In fact, it consists of 3 opponents (heads) - Malak, Vitalus and Brun. Attacks:

  • Malak (left) - releases a poisonous cloud for a few seconds, from which you can hide behind a long pedestal in front of the boss.
  • Vitalus (center) - heals all heads from time to time.
  • Brun (right) - releases a cloud similar to Malak, but deals a little more damage.
  • Malak and Brun - simultaneously release poisonous clouds that cause massive damage.
  • Tail (cannot be attacked) - swings and hits the ground in one place, causing waves. Deals monstrous damage, but has a small radius.

To win, you need to destroy all three heads. Adviсe:

  • As soon as possible, you need to destroy the central head - Vitalus, so that he could not heal others.
  • During all attacks, the head/tail swing animation is visible, so at the beginning of any attack, it is recommended to run back and take cover behind the pedestal.
  • In the temple of Xeria is a magical sanctuary. There you can strengthen the unit with any Chant, which allows you to use forces without restriction for a certain time. With a chant duration of 1 minute, you can manage to run to the trilisk with 20 seconds left. and inflict massive damage with attacking forces.
