Description[]
The Goblin Warrens are an underground location below Lang Mire, with entrances found near the town of Lang and in Redwood Gap. It consists of two named regions: the Lang-side entrance leads to the Goblin Outer Warrens, which has a mechanical access bridge, and then the rest of the Warrens beyond that. While sprawling, the Warrens seem much less sophisticated than the Goblin Lair in Ehb, lacking many of the latter's devices and machinery. This may be due to the activities of the Inventor, and likely as well because the events on the Peninsula are set a hundred years earlier than the Ehb campaign.
The region can be accessed by going just south of Lang, entering a dungeon near the H.U.B. platform and displacer tower, and descending via a large metal elevator.
Features[]
- Outer Warrens
- The Goblin Outer Warrens are a semi-developed area that served as the western rampart of the Goblin Warrens as a whole. They are lightly fortified, as the Goblins employed a mechanical platform that was the only way to bridge the wide chasm that separated the Goblin territories from the rest of the world.
- Legion Displacer
- Forward-activated platform linking back to Lang.
Related Dialogue[]
- Generic directions
- "The town of Quillrabe is a nice sight after the dreariness of Lang. You'll be wanting to head south along the boardwalk and then west after the Guard Tower on Grod's Island until you see the entrance to the Goblin Warrens ahead. We do a fair bit of trading with the little green folk, so they might be inclined to let you pass through their tunnels to Redwood Gap. ..."
- Legionaire at entrance
- "Heading into the Goblin Warrens, eh? Best take care, those little green vermin have been rather uppity of late. They'd just as soon kill you as trade with you, but you look like the sort of traveller with enough wits to keep your head on your shoulders."
- Utraean Circle (red fog)
- "Those little green poo-eaters are behind this foul weather, mark my words! The Legion should've run them out of Gonsiir when we had a chance instead of letting them spread all the way down here on the Utraean Peninsula."
