Olvis was the infamous “traitorous Grand Mage” who accomplished great deeds but left a stain on his honor in the end. Grand Mage Olvis trained and honed his skills at the Gunderic Manor and later was always associated with the place. Though, he was not admired by his kin, being rumored to be the illegitimate son of Rossal Gunderic and a Lescanzi Witch.
Career[]
When the Holy Synod realized that High Priest Molochi and a number of his followers killed their missionary, Hiram, a holy crusade was launched. In 1080, Grand Mage Olvis was sent to deal with the cult, along with five Legion Cohorts. Upon finding the Agallan Vault, heart of the false religion, Grand Mage Olvis severely punished the heretics. Not only he slaughtered every single one of the cultists, but rendered their souls bound to their earthly corpses and used a spell to seal the gates of the Agallan Vault. The souls of the damned cultists will never reach the River of Souls.
Olvis’s fall[]
Four years later, in 1084, Grand Mage Olvis seized the Gunderic Manor and later that year tried to usurp the control of the crumbling empire. Merik, who was appointed Grand Mage soon after Olvis’s actions, had to besiege the Manor and kill the previous Grand Mage.
