The Hydrack is a large, swamp-dwelling reptile in Dungeon Siege. A similar creature is the subterranean water-dwelling Syrrus.

Description

The Hydrack is a saurian monster that inhabits swamp lakes. It remains mostly submerged when attacking, so its size and shape are open to speculation, but what does emerge is not very reassuring. The creature has a long and very strong neck many times the size of a human, with dull brown scales patterned much alike to an adder. Its head is draconic, with an elongated mouth, scaled plumage, and horns.

The Hydrack attacks exclusively with its breath, which appears to be a cone of poisonous gas or acid. It deals high damage-over-time in a large area in front of the attack trajectory.

When killed, Hydrack will rear its head up and roars in agony as its sank back into the depth of the swamp.

This is an enemy affected by the Legends of Aranna Damage Bug. The Hydrack was not assigned skill ranks appropriate for its attacks in vanilla. The revision to armor rating in the expansion renders unskilled attacks harmless.
