The Kithraya Caverns
The Kithraya Caverns are a series of caves located in the southeastern mountains of Greilyn Isle. A massive hive of insects can be found inside the caverns, made up of various species, including Orthrac, Gantis, Larvax, Boggrot, and Kurtle.
The Dryads of Eirulan have long used the insects as a source of food and textiles, but let the hive grow to dangerous size due to their ineffectual defenses.
The tunnels of the Kithraya Caverns lead from the Eastern Greilyn Jungle to the The Azunite Desert portal on The Southern and Eastern Greilyn Jungle.

Dungeon Siege II[]
On their way to the The Azunite Desert portal, Vix and his battalion were attacked within the Kithraya Caverns by the Shard Souls coming from the Shard that the the Dark Wizards had placed on Greilyn Beach. Vix fled rather than slay his possessed brothers-in-arms, but ventured back into the caverns with a recently-freed mercenary prisoner on their way back home to Aman'lu. They were eventually able to destroy the Shard, although all of Vix's men were killed.
The mercenary prisoner and their party also dealt with the Kithraya Hive Queen who dwelt deep within the Kithraya Caverns, stopping the unchecked growth of the insect hive there. They returned the Hive Queen's head to Tamari in Eirulan as a trophy.
The Kithraya Caverns were also the location of a hidden Morden intelligence camp discovered by Finala, and the rest of the Hero of the Second Age's party during Valdis' invasion of Greilyn isle. Using the information gleaned from the camp, they were able to track down and destroy a number of secret towers located in the jungle around Eirulan.
