A Mana Shrine is a type of landmark found scattered throughout the Dungeon Siege campaigns that regenerates party members' mana.
Description[]
Mana Shrines are intricate structures consisting of an outer shell of metal surrounding an open mosaic of small stones on which people stand to get their mana recovered. As with Life Shrines and Resurrection Shrines, multiplayer characters in ghost form can revive on them.
Mana Shrines have three properties: a pool of mana, a distribution rate at which it bestows this pool to characters on the shrine, and a replenishment rate at which the shrine reaccumulates its power while no one is using it. The replenishment phase can take an hour or even more, so in the near term, the shrine's juice is finite. These shrines are still an ideal place to build up duration on buff spells.
The one and only indoor Mana Shrine is in the Tower of Kmethekt, an institution of the Utraean Empire. Its existence suggests that the Empire is the civilization that created these structures. Mana and Life Shrines bear the same design on their floor tiles, but at the same time, their respective manufacturers couldn't have had a more different sense of aesthetics; most likely, the Utraeans studied and reproduced the lost arts of the much older Life Shrines.
