Quests are missions the 10th Legion completes in Dungeon Siege III and its expansion, Treasures of The Sun. Quests are received by interacting with NPCs, exploring areas, or progressing the story. Rewards may include experience, gold, gear, lore, and occasionally permanent bonuses known as Deeds.

Main Quests advance the principal storyline, while Side Quests offer optional challenges, unique items, and deeper exploration.

All ongoing and completed quests appear in the Journal, accessible from the main menu. Quests are divided into “Main” and “Side.” Activating a quest places a marker on the map, if available. Companion-specific quests or dialogue may unlock only with certain characters present.

Companions & Influence[]

Players earn influence with companions (Lucas, Anjali, Katarina, Reinhart) through key dialogue choices and quest actions. Influence milestones (25%, 50%, 75%) award attribute bonuses (2, 3, and 5 points respectively), up to +10 in a companion’s linked attribute (e.g., Lucas/Stamina, Anjali/Attack, etc.)

Some quests or dialogue paths require specific companions or influence levels.

Deeds[]

Certain actions (e.g., completing side quests, refusing rewards, discovering lore, choosing special dialogue) unlock Deeds, granting permanent attribute bonuses, examples include:

  • Enduring Champion – Sustain 100,000 damage ( +2 Stamina)
  • Avatar of Ultimate Virtue – Refuse Raven’s Rill rewards thrice ( +5 Will)
  • Solver of Cyphers – Enter password in Gunderic Manor ( +2 Agility)
