Scrub Howlers were uplifted baboons intended by Nosirrom to be soldiers of his with which he could destroy the Utraeans. They were found in Xot's Badlands.
Scrub Howlers resemble enormous mandrills. These bipedal creatures are very tall and well-built, towering over human-sized folk. Their fur is a dark ochre with white belly. Their hairless faces have elongated muzzle with red stripe down the middle and blue ridges on the sides. In addition, their buttocks are bare.
Scrub Howlers truly lives up to their names, since they can be heard howling during the battle, which is possibly a war cry in order to demoralise their foes. They carries a big and long staff with a crescent moon-shaped blade at the end, which is used for hacking away their unfortunate foes into several pieces. Despite their large sizes, Scrub Howlers can hack away at incredible speed with their staffs.
They sound like dying Sand Ripper when triggered.
