Secret of the Azunite Desert

Secret of the Azunite Desert is a primary quest in Act I of the game Dungeon Siege II.

Walkthrough[]

This quest begins when you speak with Captain Suzor at the resistance outpost after completing Leaving Greilyn Isle. Suzor will task you with recovering four Stelae from elite Skath guardians located throughout the Azunite Desert, and instruct you to use them at the nearby Azunite Shrine.

Each elite guardian will drop a unique stela:

Stela of Sight
Stela of Blindness
Stela of Life
Stela of Death

The first Skath guardian you encounter will initiate dialogue, but no matter what choices you make, a battle will follow. All guardians are slightly stronger than normal enemies but shouldn’t pose much of a challenge, especially if you’ve progressed in quests like Feldwyr the Blacksmith or A Family Heirloom.

Each stela location is marked with a **gold star** on your map, making them relatively easy to locate.

Once you've obtained all four stelae, head to the Azunite Shrine, located north of the desert teleporter. On the shrine’s lower level, place the four stelae into their corresponding sockets. This action will reveal a Silver Mirror (Quest Item 21) and the Map of the Lost Azunites (Map 4).

Picking up these items will complete the quest and automatically begin the next one, The Lost Azunite Artifact.

The first Skath guardian will talk to you briefly, but you will be forced to fight them regardless of your dialogue choices.
If you're struggling, consider returning to Greilyn Isle to finish additional side quests for experience and gear.
The shrine and stela sockets are located on the **lower level** of the Azunite Shrine.
