Skeleton Guard

A Skeleton Guard

The skeleton guard forms the (if you will excuse the pun) backbone of the skeletal army the player will face in the earlier stages of Dungeon Siege

General[]

Brought back to a wretched unlife by vile and wicked magics, the Skeleton Guard was once an able fighter who fell at some point in their mortal existence. Clad in old battered chainmail and a few lingering scraps of rusty armour the Guard hefts a small axe in his right hand and a metal buckler in his left, with these he enforces his evil master's will upon the world of the living.

The Skeleton guard can be found both above and below ground throughout the world, either sent through the willing of his master or simply as a wandering husk who lost his dark connection with it's master. Often found in the dark recesses of the world such as tombs, ruins, abandoned castles and cursed forests the Guard will attempt to bring you into his world of the undead by ending your life.

Attacks[]

Despite his somewhat colourful background, the Guard doesn't really pose a major threat to an armed party or even a lone traveller as long as they keep their wits about them. Due to the Guards pitifully slow movement he can be easily taken care of with ranged weapons before he has a chance to lay a bony finger on you. His attacks are identical to his counterpart the Skeleton Captain which is a combination of axe swings and shield bashes.

Skeleton Guards have a much stronger, higher-leveled upgrade in the Skeleton Mercenary.
