Solanum is the fourth and final primary quest in Part 2 of the Broken World expansion. It begins immediately after the completion of The Second Familiar Surgeon when Danadel creates a portal to Solanum in Aman'lu.
Walkthrough[]
After Danadel opens the portal, step through to reach the final confrontation of Part 2. You’ll soon learn that the supposed **dryad Great Leader** is actually the **Overmage** in disguise.
However, instead of fighting you directly, the Overmage will summon **Keirok the Devourer** (#1), a powerful beast, and then flee once again.
Boss Fight: Keirok the Devourer[]
Keirok is a melee brute with a single dangerous ability:
- **Ground Slam**: Creates **yellow fault lines** that explode shortly afterward, dealing high fire damage in an area.
- These can **one-shot spellcasters** or weak party members if you're not careful.
Strategies:
- **Mirror Mode** is essential – move your whole party out of the fire lines when they appear.
- Alternatively, if your Fire Resistance is high or you're over-leveled, you may be able to tank the fire damage and focus entirely on DPS.
- Using the **Spirit Embrace** Power is a good way to boost resistances for this fight.
After the Fight[]
When Keirok dies, he will drop:
- **Familiar's Eye** (unique ring)
- Gold and random loot
Proceed through the portal at the **north end of the arena** (#2) to reach an underground location. There, a group of dwarves will greet you and the quest will complete automatically. This begins the first Story Quest of Part 3: The Dwarves of Glorydeep.
