The Diamond Runestone is a secondary quest on the Utraean Peninsula, the multiplayer world in Dungeon Siege.
Description[]
Trella Lauron, a scholar from Hiroth, asks the hero to retrieve a strange item, the "Rune of Diamonds," from a Krug Shaman. The shaman is about 150 meters to the southwest of the NPC. This job leads to the completion of Crystwind Townstone (Quest).
Dialogue[]
- "I was searching for a particular runic stone rumored to be around the ruins here when the troubles began. I lost my assistant and faithful old mule to a Krug shaman and his filthy escort! Legend has it that the rune is shaped like a diamond and cannot chip nor break. I swear I glimpsed it under a bush when the Krug attacked. If you happen to journey that way and come across it, I'll reward you well if you bring it back...I noticed you speaking with that phony Priest Sarden. I think I might know what you're looking for, if you catch my drift."
- "No rune yet? Drat. Maybe those green-skinned runts picked it up. The oafs are probably using it as a grinding stone already! I've already studied this silly Hammer Stone to death. I'll go mad listening to Jerena's natterings if I don't have something new to look at soon!"
- "By Azunai's shield, you found the diamond rune stone! I do appreciate your help with this. Perhaps you would accept this Hammer Stone as a token of my gratitude? I found it under a pile of sacks in the mines. It might have some value to someone. I'll let you know if there's anything else you can do for me. Fair travels to you."
- (already have the rune) "I was searching for a certain ancient rune stone when -- by Azunai's shield, you have it! Do you have any idea how long I've been looking for that artifact? The Rune of Diamonds must be carefully studied. If you are willing to trade, I'll give you this Hammer Stone I found under a pile of sacks in the mines. It might have some value to someone."
