The Legion is upon us. We have held the entrance for most of the morning, but the Legion’s numbers are too great. I’ve ordered most of the men to hold that checkpoint as long as they can, while I take a detachment of my finest soldiers to guard the staves of the sun and moon. We will hold that position until the end.
Perhaps Molochi’s new god can “enlighten” us with a miracle, but the soldier in me knows when he is bested. Molochi will not listen to reason, and he insists that we fight to the end. My position dictates I protect my charge without question, so there is little hope of escape.
I take the time to write this final entry, so if anyone finds it, they will know that Onesimus fought with honor and performed his sworn duty. I go now to meet my end. I pray that I die well.
