The Kalrathian Nexus

The Kalrathian Nexus is a side quest in Act III of the game Dungeon Siege II.

To start the Kalrathian Nexus Side Quest, talk to Nora the Nature Mage in Kalrathia. She will provide you with a Soul Staff and a Mysterious Chant (Arcesso Arcanum) (Chant 76), both of which are essential to completing the mission, so be sure to keep the staff safe.

To complete the quest, you must travel to three nodes located in different parts of the game and equip the staff on one of your characters while reciting the chant given by Nora. The final chant (Chant 76) is located at the end of your book. Once you've completed all three locations, take the staff to the Kalrathian Nexus in The Eastern Plain of Tears and use it to destroy the seal of dark magic.

Walkthrough[]

To start the Kalrathian Nexus side quest in Act 3, speak with Nora the Nature Mage in Kalrathia. She will provide you with a Soul Staff and a (Chant 76), which you must keep safe. To complete the quest, you will need to visit three different nodes across the game, equip the Soul Staff, and recite the chant at each location. The nodes are the Cavern of Earth in the Temple of Xeria (west from the Teleporter), the Cavern of Frost in Snowbrook Haven Servants' Quarters (west from the Snowbrook Haven Living Quarters Teleporter and up the elevator), and the Cavern of the Phoenix in The Lost Valley of the Azunites (directly south from the Teleporter until you reach the cavern).

Once you have completed all three locations, you must head to the Kalrathian Nexus in The Eastern Plain of Tears and use the Soul Staff to destroy the seal of dark magic. Refer to the included screenshots for the map locations of each node and the Kalrathian Nexus. Stand on the symbol in the shown in the screenshot and recite the Mysterious Chant to destroy the seal. Finally, return to Nora in Kalrathia to complete the quest.
