The Lost Detachment is a main quest in Chapter 1 of Yesterhaven.
Quest Overview[]
The quest is given to you by Mayor Gilwin in Yesterhaven, who explains that Captain Kellan and his men went to investigate the source of an unnatural blizzard caused by the Snow Queen but have not returned.
Objectives[]
- Navigate through the snowy terrain of Wintershroud Mountain, dealing with low visibility due to the blizzard. - Face off against various cold-themed enemies such as Ice Elementals and Wolves. - Follow the clues left by the soldiers, such as footprints, dropped equipment, and journals, to locate the lost detachment. - Rescue Captain Kellan and his men from an ice cave. - Return to Yesterhaven and report back to Mayor Gilwin.
Walkthrough[]
Upon accepting the quest from Mayor Gilwin, head north towards Wintershroud Mountain. The path is treacherous, with heavy snowfall reducing visibility. Along the way, you'll encounter packs of wolves and ice elementals. Keep an eye out for signs of the missing soldiers, including discarded weapons and personal items.
As you ascend the mountain, you'll find an ice cave where Captain Kellan and his men are held captive by ice elementals. Defeat the elementals to free the soldiers. Captain Kellan will inform you that the source of the blizzard lies deeper within the mountain, setting up the next quest.
Return to Yesterhaven and report your success to Mayor Gilwin to complete the quest.
