Travel to Hiroth is a secondary quest on the Utraean Peninsula, the multiplayer world in Dungeon Siege.
Description[]
Utraean Priest Ferdl of Quillrabe, the sixth town in The Utraean Circle, directs players to Hiroth once they've recovered the Quillrabe Townstone. The dragon lair where this Townstone is kept is such a long distance from Quillrabe, however, that it makes more sense to continue forward to Hiroth without picking up this quest. Priestess Kylira of Grescal (town #8) also issues this quest when the Grescal Townstone is recovered. In her case, the quest may be relabeled as "Journey to Hiroth."
Speak with Utraean High Priest Kavaren to complete (or preempt) "Travel to Hiroth." The High Priest already has Hiroth's Crown Stone in place and will typically issue a new task directing you to the earliest missing Townstone. Most players are still missing the Grescal Palm Stone at this point and will receive what passes for "directions" there; i.e., be encouraged to invoke the privilege of those Marked with Fire and go there through the HUB rather than wander through the Endless Dunes.
If any "Travel to [Town]" was already completed with the stone still missing for some reason, the quest will be reissued as "Journey to [Town]." If all Townstones are gathered, the High Priest will instead set the next step of the primary quest, to reunify the Townstones around The Utraean Circle.
- "Everyone should see Hiroth at least once. It's really not that far from here, but the journey is extremely treacherous. You'll want to exit town via the upper stairs to the west. Follow the torches until you meet up with the road in Quillrabe Canyons, then head south until you reach the Drake Nest cave. If you can sneak past the Dragon Queen and her drakes, you should be able to find your way. Keep to the south and east walls when you come to the split. The Nest exits into Hiroth Ravine, which is just outside of Hiroth proper. Follow the river and you will see Lake Hiroth ahead, with the town around its banks."
- ―Default Quillrabe NPC directions
- You can reach Hiroth through the Basilicus at level 46.
- If you deviate from the NPC directions through the Drake Nest— "keep to the south and east walls when you come to the split" — you will find an alternative cave exit into the Mesa Desert and a 10th Legion Displacer pad that jumps directly to Hiroth anyway.
- There is a hidden route connecting Elddim to Hiroth and Grescal by way of the Lost Pyramids. The branch of this trek leading to Hiroth contains level 40 to 50 foes.

Dialogue[]
- "I'm sure we can, er, handle whatever drakes may come seeking revenge. When you get that Stone in place, then they'll have something to fear. So, uh, you could go to Hiroth and let High Priest Kavaren know about, um, your success here. The dragons plagued them a bit as well, back when our queen, may the gods bless her soul, held court in Castle Hiroth. You can even get there through the dragon catacombs now that it's, er, passable."
- (Grescal) "The Utraean Circle is ready to be completed, but you are missing the Grescal Palm Stone. Speak with Utraean Priestess Kylira in Grescal, as she will be able to tell you more about it. I see you are one of the few who carry the Mark of Fire. If you travel to Grescal through the Basilicus, you will have a much better chance of reaching the oasis. No one who travels there overland through the Eastern Desert ever returns."
- (Elddim) "The Utraean Circle is ready to be completed, but you are missing the Elddim Sunrise Stone. Speak with Utraean High Priestess Kelti in Elddim, then return here to me."
- (Crystwind) "The Utraean Circle is ready to be completed, but you are missing the Crystwind Hammer Stone. Speak with Utraean Priest Sarden in Crystwind, then return here to me."
- (Fallraen) "The Utraean Circle is ready to be completed, but you are missing the Fallraen Snowflake Stone. Speak with Utraean Apprentice Flessan in Fallraen, then return here to me."
- (Meren) "The Utraean Circle is ready to be completed, but you are missing the Meren Fish Stone. Speak with Utraean Priest Tas in Meren, then return here to me."
- (Lang) "The Utraean Circle is ready to be completed, but you are missing the Lang Mosquito Stone. Speak with Utraean Priestess Janeira in Lang, then return here to me."
- (Quillrabe) "The Utraean Circle is ready to be completed, but you are missing the Quillrabe Mask Stone. Speak with Utraean Priest Ferdl in Quillrabe, then return here to me."
- "Welcome, friend. Your task is considerable, but you have proven your fortitude to the Society time and time again. I have placed Hiroth's own Crown Stone in the Utraean Circle; it is ready to receive the Townstones. We of the Utraean Society are praying for your success in placing them correctly. Soon, we shall learn the secrets of the Utraeans."
