Travel to Meren is a secondary quest on the Utraean Peninsula, the multiplayer world in Dungeon Siege.
Description[]
Utraean Apprentice Flessan, of the town of Fallraen, directs those Marked with Fire to Meren after the Fallraen Townstone is secured.
- "Aye, you can get to the town of Meren from here without too much difficulty if you have a strong sword arm and courageous heart. Follow the mountainside north and enter the Glacial Caverns. If you take care, you should find your way through to the Mount Utrae Forest. From there, follow the road until you come to the Ancient Temple entrance. I don't know what it's like this time of year, but it exits into the Crystal Caverns. Stay east and you will emerge on the hill overlooking the beach just northwest of Meren."
- ―Default Fallraen NPC Directions
Meren is relatively isolated. You can either take the teleporter there at level 18 or follow the Fallraenfolks' directions. Lang Mire also has two routes to Meren, via Mount Utrae or the Sulfur Tunnels.
Utraean High Priest Kavaren in Hiroth will also issue this quest, relabeled as Journey to Meren, if the player has already completed Travel to Meren but somehow shows up without the Meren Townstone.

- "You are much braver than I, friend. The entire town of Fallraen is indebted to you. I will ask the Guard Captain to send a rescue party out for Priest Lagreth, now that we know where he is. While I have not the means to reward you appropriately, please accept this small token of appreciation. I will also send word to the town of Meren, so they will treat you with the utmost respect."
- "Utraean Priest Tas in Meren will be waiting for your arrival. He doesn't have much else to do now that the sun hasn't come out for the last three months."
- Guard, Fallraen north gate
- "Take care, traveler. May the hand of Azunai guide you well."
- (low) "I hate to be the bearer of ill news, but I advise you not to travel outside Fallraen's walls. I'm not jesting when I say you'll end up regretting it without some hefty training under your belt."
- (high) "Pish, you don't need me to tell you how adept your survival skills are. It's clear you're more than adequately prepared for anything that's around these parts."
Background[]
- "The troops have been talking for months about an expedition into the Glacial Caves north of here for months. I don't think they'll ever get around to it 'til the spring, though. No one in their right mind would travel during the middle of winter. The few who make it through to us speak of terrible creatures the size of houses!"
- "The Glacial Caverns won't be any trouble to you, I'd bet. But watch out for the Ancient Temple in the Mount Utrae Forest past the caverns -- I hear it's haunted!"
- "My father and I took a trip through the Crystal Caverns last spring. It'll take you awhile to get there, but it's well worth the journey! The creatures there aren't exactly friendly, but they sure have pretty skins."
- Marli Meswar
- "My brother, Cole, headed to the town of Lang through the northern Glacial Caverns last fall, but I havn't heard from him since. I'm terribly worried something awful happened to him. I was supposed to join him when the road was clear, but with the western bridge collapsed, we're cut off from the rest of the kingdom."
- Billib Borub
- "Cole's a bit of a daredevil, but the most competent lad I know. If I know Cole, he's too busy entertaining all the lasses to remember to write to his sister back in Fallraen."
