The Trog are a race of beings who inhabit the enchanted crystal-lined cave systems of Aranna.
Overview[]
They are monstrous-looking hunchbacked people with disproportionately thin limbs compared to their torsos. They have solid yellow eyes and what appears to be a beaked mouth with teeth.
Their numbers were once kept in check by the Legions stationed in their lands, but the crises plaguing said lands in the games' storylines forced the Legions to withdraw, leading to an upsurge in Trog numbers and activity.
They could possibly be sapient, smart enough to form hierarchies and use weapons and armor as a normal person would, even magic ones. However, a lack of conversable Trog NPCs limits the ability to prove this. They usually let out a horrifying moaning and groaning upon being killed.
Types[]
There are three basic types of Trog in Dungeon Siege: normal Trog, Trog Warriors, and Trog Knights. Warriors and Knights have a chance of carrying magic weapons.
Trog[]
Basic Trog are either unarmored or wear some kind of padded armor, and are equipped with a Str 19 Short Sword.
Trog Warrior[]
The Trog Warrior appear to wear some kind of red-and-gray brigandine, and carry a Str 20 Steel and a Metal Buckler.
- Great Trog Warrior[]
The Great Trog Warrior are a miniboss version of the Trog Warrior, boasting better stats and wearing a fancy red coat of plates.
Trog Knight[]
The Trog Knight is a powerful Trog don a suit of scale armor and are equipped with a Str 26 Trog Great Sword.
